Independent Sewing Pattern Designers from Australia & New Zealand to Add to Your Radar
Independent Sewing Pattern Designers from Australia & New Zealand
A little while ago, I shared a blog post featuring 22 independent sewing pattern designers that either I or members of the Sewcial Sewing community had sewn from. If you're curious about why I’m such a big fan of independent patterns, you can check that post out here.
Since then, I’ve discovered so many more amazing designers—and I started noticing a common thread: quite a few of them are fellow Antipodeans! So, I thought it was time for a follow-up post, this time shining a spotlight on independent pattern designers from Australia and New Zealand.
With the ever-growing world of indie sewing patterns, I wanted to create a little homage to the talented creatives from our corner of the world. Whether you’re after fresh inspiration or keen to support designers closer to home, I hope you find someone new to love in this list!

Let’s Keep Building the List
I’m sure there are many more talented designers I haven’t mentioned here. If I’ve missed anyone, I’d love for you to introduce me to them so I can add them to my list for future makes!
If you sew up a pattern from one of these brilliant indie designers, we’d love to see it! Tag us on the Sewcial Sewing Instagram or use the hashtag #sewcialsewing.
You can also join our friendly and growing Sewcial Sewing Facebook group, where everyone would love to see what you’ve made and chat all things sewing!
